Our Mission
To support and maintain the safety of Search and Rescue operations through the use of available technologies, mapping tools, and detailed knowledge of the terrain and communities we serve.
Our Resources
Mobile Command Post (MCP)
The Mobile Command Post acts as a fully equipped office on wheels, providing the tools and space needed to coordinate and manage SAR missions effectively.
- Capabilities:
- Houses essential SAR equipment and supplies.
- Serves as a communications hub for seamless operation management.
- Offers a centralized location for mission coordination, briefing, and resource deployment.
Starlink Communication Deployment
The AdCom Unit is responsible for deploying Starlink resources to ensure reliable internet and communication connections in remote and challenging environments.

Mapping and Navigation with CalTopo

- Assist field teams with accurate navigation and location data.
Search Planning
AdCom volunteers are skilled in creating and executing effective search plans tailored to the mission at hand.

- Incorporate insights from the Lost Person Behavior book and app to understand and anticipate patterns, maximizing search efficiency.
